NEW GRADUATE RN
FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The New Graduate RN Fellowship Program is designed as a component of the formal orientation at UNC Health Lenoir but is specific for the newly graduated nurse. Over the course of 12-16 weeks, new graduates are partnered with preceptors who have experience in practice. New graduate RNs will participate in a variety of education sessions to help them become confident and competent UNC Health Lenoir nurses.
These sessions include a skills day, Stroke Care Boot Camp, Crisis Prevention, four critical thinking classes, and four rotations in different departments throughout the hospital.
They will also receive support from a mentor during their first year as a new RN.
